Position Summary
The Ski and Ride School Manager will oversee operations at the designated location, collaborating closely with the Ski and Ride School Leadership team to ensure seamless daily operations, prioritizing both employee and guest safety, exceptional service, and financial integrity. A thorough understanding of the location's dynamics and its interaction with other resort departments is essential.
This role is pivotal in driving the success of the Ski and Ride School, the resort, and the organization as a whole.
Key Responsibilities
- Work in partnership with the Skier Services Director and Senior Managers to meet safety, service, and financial objectives.
- Exhibit strong leadership qualities, fostering open communication and approachability among the Ski and Ride School staff.
- Actively engage in the development and mentorship of supervisory and coaching teams.
- Ensure uniformity in supervisory actions, end-of-season evaluations, adherence to standard operating procedures, and guest service benchmarks across the Ski and Ride School.
- Promote and embody the company's core values, mission, and vision.
- Champion safety initiatives: Educate staff on safety protocols and ensure compliance with reporting processes in the event of incidents.
- Oversee accurate scheduling of coaches to meet anticipated business demands and prevent guest service disruptions.
- Ensure timely and precise payment processing for coaches through the digital timecard system.
- Address service-related concerns for both external and internal guests promptly.
- Continuously assess the quality of guest experiences and provide constructive feedback to enhance performance.
- Monitor financial performance and implement necessary adjustments.
- Foster positive relationships within the Ski and Ride School and across other departments.
- Communicate observations and recommendations to Senior Managers and the Director of Skier Services.
- Perform additional duties as required.
Qualifications
Required:
- High School Diploma.
- Proficient in reading, writing, and communicating in English.
- Minimum of 3 years of supervisory experience in a Ski and Ride School setting.
- PSIA/AASI level 2 certification (level 3 preferred).
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
- Outstanding guest service abilities.
- Exceptional organizational skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Qualifications as a Children's Specialist.
The anticipated salary range for this position is $66,560 - $75,000, reflecting the expected compensation for the role. Individual salary decisions are influenced by various factors.
