Knit Rite/Thuasne USA is a reputable mid-sized medical device manufacturer, dedicated to producing high-quality class I and class II medical devices that improve patient mobility and overall quality of life. The Sales Territory Consultant will play a crucial role in driving sales and marketing initiatives within the assigned territory. This position involves coordinating the delivery of prescribed medical equipment and providing instruction to patients and caregivers on the safe and effective use of these devices. The consultant will also ensure the proper management of company assets and facilitate the flow of patient information in compliance with HIPAA regulations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Exemplify the core values and mission of Knit Rite/Thuasne USA.
  • Promote the company's products to achieve or surpass assigned sales targets.
  • Conduct scheduled in-services with healthcare professionals, including physicians and therapists.
  • Deliver prescribed medical equipment to patients.
  • Educate patients and caregivers on the proper and safe usage of equipment.
  • Maintain regular follow-up with patients throughout their treatment duration.
  • Hold a valid driver's license and maintain proof of auto insurance.
  • Coordinate referrals with the appropriate Sales Support Representatives until billing confirmation is obtained.
  • Oversee device inventory in collaboration with the inventory control team.
  • May interact with and assess customers across various age groups, including pediatrics, adults, and seniors.
  • Schedule deliveries, pickups, service changes, and maintenance as needed.
  • Adhere to corporate compliance standards and ensure all Patient Service Representatives in the territory do the same.
  • Engage in ongoing training programs.
  • Expect to travel, averaging 1-2 overnight trips per week, constituting approximately 30-40% of travel within the territory.
  • Perform additional duties and projects as assigned.

Additional qualifications include:
  • Able to travel within the local territory by car, with up to 40% overnight travel.
  • Possess strong interpersonal skills.
  • Capable of developing, analyzing, and forecasting a sales opportunity pipeline.
  • Exhibit excellent organizational skills.
  • Bachelor's degree is preferred.
  • Minimum of 2 years of successful experience managing an outside sales territory.
  • Experience in Durable Medical Equipment sales is preferred.
Core Competencies:
Core competencies for this position encompass relevant education, training, certifications, prior experience, and on-the-job training, as outlined in the training plan. Competency evaluations will commence on the date of hire and will be verified upon completion of all job function and evaluation requirements. Additional tasks may be assigned as business needs evolve. Individual goal plans will be established, and performance indicators may be adjusted in response to technological advancements and market conditions.

Working Conditions:
This position entails overnight travel up to 40% of the time, along with responsibilities that include standing or sitting at a desk, lifting products weighing up to 50 lbs., and potentially walking for extended periods.
