Makers Market is on the lookout for a dynamic and innovative Retail Operations Supervisor to lead our enthusiastic team at a vibrant location. As the Retail Operations Supervisor, you will play a crucial role in shaping the atmosphere of our store and guiding our team. Acting as the representative of Makers Market, you will embody our brand values while delivering an engaging and memorable shopping experience for our clientele. Your responsibilities will include overseeing daily operations alongside the Store Manager, achieving sales targets, managing staff, providing training, ensuring excellent customer service, and maintaining visual merchandising standards.

Key Qualifications - What You Will Need:

  • At least 3 years of experience in retail, ideally with a specialty or boutique retailer.
  • A degree in Business, Merchandising, or Art is preferred.
  • Demonstrated success in meeting sales objectives.
  • Creative mindset with a strong sense of style and aesthetics.
  • Passion for handmade products and appreciation for craftsmanship.
  • Self-motivated, resourceful, and adept at problem-solving.
  • Exceptional customer service and relationship-building skills.
  • Strong communication abilities.
  • Excellent organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail.
  • Dedicated, reliable, and loyal team player.
  • Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.

Primary Responsibilities - What You Will Do:

  • Assist the Store Manager in achieving sales goals while meeting personal sales targets through staff training and community engagement.
  • Maintain a welcoming and friendly presence on the sales floor, leading by example.
  • Support the visual merchandising of the store to reflect our stylish aesthetic.
  • Act as a brand ambassador by engaging with customers and sharing our mission.
  • Take the lead in daily sales activities within the store.
  • Help train staff to ensure they meet their goals and adhere to store procedures.
  • Assist with daily store operations, including opening/closing procedures and cash management.
  • Ensure the store environment is organized, clean, and visually appealing.
  • Support special events and community outreach initiatives.
  • Oversee inventory management and ensure accuracy in stock levels.
  • Collaborate with the Store Manager to analyze sales data and suggest improvements.
  • Build customer relationships to enhance brand loyalty.
  • Coach staff on sales techniques and product knowledge.
  • Conduct regular stock counts and manage special customer orders.
  • Communicate effectively with makers as needed.
