Patient Service Representative

Spectrum Healthcare Partners is seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Patient Service Representative to join our team. As a key member of our front office staff, you will be responsible for providing exceptional patient care and administrative support to our patients and healthcare providers.
Key Responsibilities- Front Desk Operations
- Greets patients and visitors in a professional and courteous manner
- Manages patient check-in and check-out processes, ensuring accurate and up-to-date records
- Collects copays and outstanding balances, performs daily payment reconciliation
- Communication and Scheduling
- Answers internal and external calls, responds to patient inquiries and concerns
- Schedules appointments, secures authorizations, and manages referrals
- Administrative Support
- Enters patient information into our electronic health record system
- Scans medical documentation and other required documents
- Performs insurance verification and billing tasks
- Team Collaboration
- Works closely with clinical staff, patient accounts, and other key team members to ensure seamless patient care
- Participates in educational activities to maintain skills and knowledge
- High school degree or equivalent
- Experience in a medical office or similar role
- Strong customer service skills, ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Proficient computer skills, including Microsoft Office
- Knowledge of medical records and billing procedures
This is a full-time position, with occasional travel to other company locations. The ideal candidate will be able to lift up to 30 pounds, sit or stand for extended periods, and perform other physical demands of the job.
