Key Responsibilities- Front Office Operations: Manage patient check-in and check-out processes, collect copays and outstanding balances, and perform daily payment reconciliation.
- Patient Communication: Greet patients in a professional and caring manner, answer internal and external calls, and utilize electronic health records for messaging.
- Scheduling and Authorization: Schedule appointments, secure authorization for diagnostic testing, and manage ongoing authorizations for future visits.
- Document Management: Scan medical documentation and other required documents into electronic health records or document imaging systems.
- Insurance Verification: Verify patient insurance information to ensure accurate billing.
- Team Collaboration: Collaborate with clinical staff, patient accounts, and other key members of staff to answer patient questions and concerns.
- Education: High school degree or equivalent.
- Experience: Experience in a medical office or similar role in a healthcare organization.
- Skills: Strong customer service skills, ability to work independently and as part of a team, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and proficiency in Microsoft Office.
