Job Summary

The Regional Business Development Manager is responsible for driving business growth and expansion within a designated territory. This role requires a strong sales and business development background, with a focus on building relationships with key decision-makers and identifying new business opportunities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and execute a sales strategy to drive business growth and expansion within the designated territory
  • Build and maintain relationships with key decision-makers, including store owners, managers, and buyers
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities, including cold calling, referrals, and trade shows
  • Develop and close deals, including negotiating contracts and pricing
  • Manage and maintain accurate customer records and sales data
  • Collaborate with the Retail Growth and Training Team to ensure seamless sales cycles and account openings
  • Work closely with the sales team to share best practices and drive sales growth
  • Participate in food shows and on-site demonstrations to showcase products and build relationships with customers
  • Develop and maintain relationships with large chains, engineers, and buyers of equipment
  • Identify store needs and provide equipment solutions to drive sales growth
  • Manage existing business and work with office staff to ensure all operating needs of customers are met
Requirements
  • 5+ years of sales experience, preferably in the grocery store, c-store, or deli operation industry
  • Proven sales closer with foodservice or foodservice programs
  • Ability to WIN DEALS and work independently 95% of the time
  • Strong work ethic and ability to travel extensively, up to 75% of the time
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Technological skill sets to include use of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, CRM, Web-X, and other software as required
  • AutoQuotes is a plus
  • Organization of business materials; internal, customer, and project files
  • A positive attitude and persistent follow-up skills
  • A likeable personality and ability to manage time and schedule effectively
