Job Title: Business Development Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled Business Development Manager to join our team at Harcros Chemicals. As a Business Development Manager, you will be responsible for identifying and pursuing new business opportunities, developing and implementing strategic plans to achieve sales targets and revenue growth objectives, and building and maintaining strong relationships with prospective and existing clients.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities to expand the company's market presence.
  • Develop and implement strategic plans to achieve sales targets and revenue growth objectives.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with prospective and existing clients, serving as the primary point of contact.
  • Conduct market research and analysis to identify emerging trends and customer needs.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to develop tailored solutions and proposals for clients.
  • Negotiate contracts and agreements with clients to secure profitable business deals.
  • Track and report on sales performance metrics, providing regular updates to management.
  • Stay updated on industry developments and competitor activities to inform business strategies.
  • Represent the company at industry events, conferences, and networking opportunities to promote brand awareness and generate leads.
  • Provide leadership and mentorship to sales teams, guiding them in achieving their goals and objectives.
Requirements:
  • Proven track record of success in business development, sales, or related roles, typically with a minimum of 4 years of experience.
  • Experience in the chemical industry required.
  • And/or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Preferred Skills:
  • Demonstrated ability to identify and pursue new business opportunities, negotiate contracts, and close deals.
  • Strong understanding of sales techniques, market analysis, and strategic planning.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Familiarity with CRM software and other sales tools for tracking and managing leads and opportunities.
  • Ability to perform advanced data analysis in Excel, such as goal seeking and scenario analysis, to derive actionable insights.
