Job Overview

POSITION SUMMARY

The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) plays a vital role in Proactive MD's clinical operations, embodying our Patient Promise: "We are solely dedicated to the patient. We commit to advocating for their best interests." Under the guidance of the healthcare provider, the LPN supports the provider and conducts necessary tests and procedures. Additionally, the LPN manages administrative responsibilities within the health and wellness center and may assist the Patient Advocate in engaging with employees.

WORK SCHEDULE

Typical working hours are Monday to Friday, with specific hours outlined for each day.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Assist with and document treatments as directed by the healthcare provider or registered nurse.
  • Accurately record diagnoses, symptoms, follow-up instructions, and prescriptions as indicated by the provider. Transcribe patient orders for laboratory tests, radiology tests, and medications.
  • Conduct patient interviews, measure vital signs, and document findings in patient records.
  • Prepare examination rooms for patient assessments and perform designated clinical tasks.
  • Handle basic clerical duties, including answering calls, maintaining records, and organizing files.
  • Manage inventory of medical supplies and help maintain a clean and organized environment.

ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS

  • Associate degree and valid certification as an LPN or LVN.
  • Current BLS certification from the American Heart Association, valid for a minimum of 90 days post-hire.
  • At least one year of clinical experience as an LPN.
  • Proficient in venipuncture.
  • Understanding of HIPAA regulations.

  • Effective communication skills and the ability to foster relationships with individuals from diverse backgrounds.
  • Strong organizational skills to prioritize tasks and manage workload effectively.
  • Ability to successfully pass pre-employment background checks and drug screenings.
