POSITION SUMMARY
The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) plays a vital role in Proactive MD's clinical framework, embodying our Patient Promise: "We are solely dedicated to the patient. We commit to advocating for their utmost well-being." Under the guidance of the healthcare provider, the LPN supports the provider and carries out necessary tests and procedures. Additionally, the LPN is tasked with administrative responsibilities within the health and wellness center and may collaborate with the Patient Advocate to enhance employee engagement and outreach initiatives.
WORK SCHEDULE
The work schedule includes various shifts throughout the week, ensuring coverage and support for our patients.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Assist in and document treatments as directed by the healthcare provider or registered nurse.
- Accurately record diagnoses, symptoms, follow-up instructions, and prescriptions as specified by the provider. Transcribe patient orders for laboratory tests, radiology tests, and medications.
- Conduct patient interviews, measure vital signs, and maintain detailed patient records.
- Prepare examination rooms for patient assessments and perform selected clinical tasks.
- Handle basic clerical duties, including answering phone calls, maintaining records, and organizing files.
- Manage inventory of medical supplies and help maintain a clean and organized workspace.
ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS
- Associate degree and valid certification as an LPN or LVN.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association, valid for a minimum period post-hire.
- At least one year of clinical experience as an LPN.
- Proficient in venipuncture procedures.
- Understanding of HIPAA regulations.

- Strong communication skills and the ability to build relationships with individuals from diverse backgrounds.
- Capability to prioritize tasks and manage workload effectively.
- Must successfully pass pre-employment background checks and drug screening.
