Gen II Fund Services, a prominent private equity fund administration firm, is seeking a Private Equity Accounting Supervisor to manage the accounting functions for private equity funds.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate closely with senior management to oversee daily fund operations.
  • Independently manage the accounting and operations of existing funds.
  • Interface with clients and manage business relationships with minimal supervision.
  • Review Limited Partnership Agreements (LPAs) and other governing documents to extract essential economic details and compile comprehensive summaries.
  • Supervise a small team of accountants as needed.
  • Guide the initial setup of client fund deliverables, including capital calls, distributions, financial statements, waterfalls, and IRRs, ensuring thorough reviews before final sign-off.
  • Conduct multiple levels of review and analysis of financial reports, capital events, and complex private equity transactions.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, with a preference for CPA certification.
  • A minimum of 4 years of relevant experience in private equity fund accounting and reporting.
  • Quick learner with the ability to apply knowledge to client situations and propose effective solutions.
  • Adaptable to changes in processes and procedures in a dynamic environment.
  • Strong understanding of Investment Company Accounting (ASC 946), fund structures, and investor classifications.
  • Proficient in reporting standards for investment funds under US GAAP and IFRS.
  • Hands-on experience with governing documents and private equity fund accounting.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Meticulous attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks, manage multiple responsibilities, and meet deadlines.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook.

The compensation for this role ranges from $90,000 to $130,000, complemented by a discretionary bonus and a comprehensive benefits package. The actual salary offered will be commensurate with the candidate's experience.

Work Arrangement: All applicants must be legally authorized to work in the United States. The position requires a hybrid work schedule, consisting of in-office and remote work days.
