Your Role
Lead a team conducting risk-based evaluations to ensure the accuracy and consistency of fund accounting data, including NAVs and fund yields, in accordance with US GAAP and regulatory standards.
Oversee the accrual, approval, and disbursement of fund expenses in line with board-approved methodologies, legal agreements, and fund registration documents.
Examine accounting and expense-related information in fund financial statements, regulatory submissions, and other reports.
Review the processes, procedures, and controls surrounding the operational management of funds to drive continuous enhancement and ensure a best-practice operational framework.
Investigate and resolve issues identified in the oversight model, ensuring that appropriate preventative measures are implemented.
Establish and maintain robust working relationships with internal and external business partners, including fund service providers and auditors; act as the primary contact for fund-related inquiries, escalating as necessary.
Collaborate with external fund service providers to swiftly address operational and accounting challenges, ensuring that service expectations, quality, and timeliness metrics are met.
Serve as a subject matter expert for oversight systems and automation tools.
Research new accounting standards and regulatory guidance to draft new policies or propose amendments to existing fund policies and procedures as needed.
Implement and operationalize new accounting standards by their effective date.
Facilitate open and transparent communication regarding issues and business events across various facets of the organization.
Perform additional duties as assigned.

Essential Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree in Accounting/Finance or equivalent.
A minimum of seven years of relevant experience in US mutual fund accounting and/or auditing; experience overseeing third-party administrators is preferred.
Expertise in fund accounting for US mutual funds, ETFs, and non-registered products.
Ability to effectively prioritize and manage multiple projects.
Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
A committed team player who thrives in a high-impact environment.
Proficient in MS Word and Excel.
