Position Summary

This position will provide support to faculty members in managing the finances of their sponsored projects while ensuring compliance with funding agency policies and university agreements. Working closely with the Sponsored Projects Accounting and Compliance (SPAC) team, this role plays a key part in the fiscal management of awards. Responsibilities include reviewing and interpreting award terms and conditions, setting up awards in financial systems, and ensuring accurate financial reporting. The ideal candidate will have a bachelor's degree in accounting and at least two years of professional accounting experience.

Responsibilities:
  • Review and approve expenditures on sponsored projects for compliance
  • Complete Federal draws and line of credits
  • Prepare grant journal entries and financial reports
  • Maintain accurate budget records
  • Assist with post-award closeout processes
Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting
  • At least two years of professional work or accounting experience
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Previous grants accounting experience
  • Experience with financial systems like Banner and Workday
  • Experience in complex reconciliations
Work Hours/Type:

Monday to Friday, 8:00am to 5:00pm with a hybrid on-campus and remote work schedule.
