Role Responsibilities:

As an Industry AI Sales Specialist, your daily activities will include:

  • Formulating and executing a sales strategy targeting specific accounts, industry sectors, and new business opportunities.
  • Engaging with a wide range of customer profiles, from IT decision-makers to Data Scientists and ML Engineers, within existing and prospective HPE clients.
  • Leading discussions on HPE's unique value propositions in high-performance computing (HPC) and AI solutions.
  • Communicating HPE's perspectives on major trends such as Generative AI, Data Management, and Hybrid Cloud.
  • Utilizing an advisory approach to influence customer decision-making and highlight HPE's differentiated offerings.
  • Gaining a comprehensive understanding of HPE's AI-at-Scale solutions and effectively conveying their benefits.
  • Creating pursuit strategies and managing sales pipelines.
  • Building professional relationships with prospects by understanding their specific business needs within their sectors.
  • Overseeing proposal development, negotiations, and closing deals.
  • Maintaining awareness of competitive landscape to strategically position HPE's offerings.
  • Collaborating with internal and external experts to anticipate client requirements.
  • Focusing on proactive prospecting and pipeline development for sustained success.
  • Partnering with various teams to devise effective strategies.
  • Meeting established sales targets on a quarterly and annual basis.

Qualifications:

To excel in this role, candidates should possess:

  • A Bachelor's degree or equivalent.
  • Experience in translating industry-specific needs into HPE's unique offerings.
  • Advanced sales expertise, particularly in Data Science and AI.
  • A proven track record of developing and closing complex sales in enterprise environments.
  • A Challenger Sales mindset, utilizing customer insights to tailor approaches and foster constructive discussions.
  • Resilience and determination in sales pursuits.
  • The ability to engage in both technical and business dialogues at various organizational levels.
  • A commitment to continuous learning about technology trends and competitive products.
  • Understanding of AI/ML and HPC roles and how HPE's solutions address industry challenges.
  • Capability to establish thought leadership and act as a trusted advisor regarding HPC, Data, and AI.
  • Experience in dynamic international settings with cross-functional collaboration.
  • Ability to translate product knowledge into tangible business value for prospects.
  • Competence in managing the sales cycle from initiation to closure.
  • A strategic and tactical approach to sales.
  • A proactive, positive attitude in a collaborative environment.
  • Strong communication and organizational skills.
  • Fluency in both German and English.
