Are you a visionary architect passionate about empowering clients to realize their full potential? We are seeking a Senior Solutions Architect for our Generative AI Labs at Amazon Web Services (AWS). This role is pivotal in positioning AWS as the preferred cloud provider for our customers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Act as the customer advocate; engage with both field and central teams to relay customer insights to product development teams. Lead the curation of tailored feature requests for specific customer scenarios.
  • Deliver advanced technical expertise to your aligned go-to-market (GTM) teams, addressing our customers' most significant business challenges.
  • Collaborate with your extended team to uphold the technical standards for specialist technical documentation and artifacts.
  • Work alongside your GTM colleagues to provide technical insights that inform GTM strategies and assist in executing local technical events, campaigns, and customer interactions.
  • Serve as a thought leader by sharing best practices through various channels, including AWS blogs, whitepapers, reference architectures, and public speaking engagements such as AWS Summit and AWS re:Invent.
  • Guide and support an internal community of technical experts aligned with your customers. Develop enablement materials for the broader Solutions Architect community to facilitate the integration of new AWS solutions into customer architectures.

A Day in the Life: The WWSO Generative AI Labs team is at the forefront of the transformative impact that generative AI will have on our customers and industries. We strive to make AWS the optimal platform for our customers and partners to build and deploy their Generative AI workloads.

As a Senior Solutions Architect, your role will involve creating high-quality go-to-market collateral, including customer and internal demonstrations, hands-on labs, workshops, proof of concept accelerators, and AWS Solutions.

You will blend product development skills with agility, crafting high-quality software that leverages Generative AI while showcasing AWS capabilities in this domain.

Comfortable navigating complex technical discussions with engineers and executive audiences alike, you will quickly learn new concepts and tools, working across all levels of the Generative AI stack.

About the Team: The Worldwide Specialist Organization (WWSO) is a key component of AWS Sales, Marketing, and Global Services (SMGS), dedicated to driving revenue, adoption, and growth across a diverse range of customer accounts, from small and mid-market to enterprise-level clients.

We focus on addressing our customers' most intricate and business-critical challenges to develop and implement go-to-market strategies that transform AWS concepts into multi-billion-dollar enterprises.

WWSO teams encompass business development, specialist roles, and technical solutions architecture, providing expertise throughout the entire lifecycle of an AWS customer initiative—from ideation for new services to accelerating the adoption of established offerings.

Basic Qualifications:

  • 7+ years of experience in specific technology domains (e.g., software development, cloud computing, systems engineering, infrastructure, security, networking, data & analytics).
  • 7+ years of IT development or consulting experience in the software or internet sectors.
  • 5+ years of design, implementation, or consulting experience in applications and infrastructure technology.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Extensive experience in software development and cloud development domains.
  • Experience in migrating or transforming legacy customer solutions to cloud environments.
  • Hands-on experience with AWS technologies from a development or operations (DevOps) perspective.
  • Exceptional presentation skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with executives, IT management, and developers.
  • Strong written communication skills.
