The Field Sales Representative is tasked with driving new rental revenue by engaging both new and existing customers of H&E Equipment. The ideal candidate should possess a strong people-oriented approach, be assertive, sales-focused, and work well within a team.

Earnings Potential for Field Sales:

Our commitment to recognizing and rewarding talent is reflected in the earnings of our sales representatives. The top 10% of our sales team earned over $200,000 last year, while our average sales representatives earn between $75K - $100K within their first year.

Key Responsibilities of Field Sales:

  • Revenue Generation: Drive new rental agreements and enhance revenue from existing customers within a designated sales area.
  • Prospecting & Relationship Development: Cultivate prospects and establish strong business relationships to broaden the customer base.
  • Sales Activities: Conduct cold calls and visit job sites to identify and pursue business opportunities.
  • Software Utilization: Regularly use customer relationship management software to track leads, manage accounts, and uncover potential business opportunities.

Preferred Qualifications for Field Sales:

  • Sales Experience: Previous experience in outside sales is preferred.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
  • Organizational Skills: Strong organizational skills with the capability to manage multiple tasks in a dynamic environment.
  • Technical Proficiency: Familiarity with Microsoft Office and other relevant business software applications.
