ROLE SUMMARY

The Field Sales Executive serves as the representative of our organization within local markets. This role involves identifying new market opportunities, nurturing existing customer relationships, and connecting with potential clients while collaborating with the team to devise strategies that surpass competitors.

As a provider of heavy-duty parts and services, our key clientele includes dealers and operators of diesel-powered equipment across various sectors such as transportation & logistics, distribution, refuse, construction, mining, and power generation.

This is a full-time position reporting directly to the General Manager.

KEY DUTIES

  • Proactively seek orders from both current and prospective clients to sustain and expand the customer base.
  • Foster strong customer relationships by traveling within the assigned territory to engage with existing and potential clients, assessing and addressing their needs.
  • Compile and manage lists of potential customers in the database for sales leads through cold-calling and other outreach methods.
  • Explore new and existing market areas to enhance sales and market share within assigned territories.
  • Gain a comprehensive understanding of branch/regional profit and loss components, including product/service pricing, desired margins, and cost analysis.
  • Develop and maintain knowledge of heavy-duty truck parts and service pricing, focusing on our core product lines: aftertreatment and engine cooling.
  • Exhibit proficiency in commercial placement, customer needs assessment, and customer retention strategies.
  • Stay informed about competitor activities.
  • Assist in identifying and implementing price adjustments for underperforming accounts.
  • Engage in business-related meetings, conferences, social events, and community organizations to enhance the visibility of our company.
  • Perform other job-related duties as assigned.

REQUIREMENTS

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • At least 2 years of sales experience with a focus on meeting quotas, ideally in the diesel-powered trucks/equipment sector.
  • Prior experience in OEM or aftermarket parts and/or fleet account management is essential.
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
  • Physical ability to lift and carry heavy parts and boxes weighing up to 50 pounds.
  • Must successfully pass a background check and drug screening.
  • Ability to provide at least two recent professional references.
