This role is office-based and requires flexibility to work beyond standard hours during peak periods.

The ideal candidate is eager to build a career in retirement plan administration with a strong customer focus. The Assistant ESOP Administrator will gain comprehensive knowledge in ESOP retirement plan administration, encompassing recordkeeping, compliance testing, distributions, and regulatory reporting.

As ESOP Partners continues to grow rapidly, the responsibilities of the Assistant ESOP Administrator will evolve, incorporating additional tasks as assigned by management.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage individual production outcomes while contributing to team goals during peak seasons.
  • Conduct census data reconciliation.
  • Assess employee eligibility based on plan provisions.
  • Document trust activities relevant to the ESOP.
  • Prepare mailing control lists and related documentation.
  • Track and document distributions, ensuring accurate entry into proprietary software.
  • Follow up on payment files as necessary.
  • Prepare 1099R and 945 forms for ESOP clients.
  • Participate in industry conferences and seminars to enhance ESOP knowledge and skills.

This position necessitates a solid understanding of computer software applications, particularly Microsoft Office and Excel. Employees will be trained on ESOP Partners' proprietary administration software, ESOP Revolution.

Education and Experience:

  • Associate degree in business administration or a related field; Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • 1-3 years of experience in administration or benefits management, with a preference for recent ESOP administration experience.

Certifications:

  • Valid Driver's License
