Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinate communication between patients, family members, medical staff, providers, and administrative staff to ensure seamless care delivery.
  • Direct patient inquiries or complaints to the appropriate parties, providing empathetic and professional support.
  • Assist patients or callers with medical concerns, receiving and routing messages to the relevant staff.
  • Obtain and confirm accurate demographic and insurance/coverage information to ensure efficient and effective care.
  • Schedule and confirm patient appointments, ensuring timely and convenient access to medical services.
  • Assist patients or callers with financial questions regarding policies, insurances, payments, or other financial needs.
  • Attend meetings as required and adhere to the policies and procedures of Prevea Health.
Requirements
  • Experience in customer service, insurance, and/or healthcare settings is preferred.
  • Proficient interpersonal, telephone, and computer skills are essential.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Knowledge of grammar, spelling, and punctuation to accurately type patient information and take messages.
  • Ability to speak clearly, concisely, and professionally, with a strong focus on patient satisfaction.
Working Conditions

This role requires sitting for long periods, working in an office environment, and occasional bending and stretching. Vision must be correctable to 20/30, and hearing must be in the normal range. The ability to adapt to continuous change and work with occasional stress is essential.
