Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee, administer, and provide support for specialized software applications.
  • Configure, maintain, and enhance systems while addressing application issues and identifying cybersecurity vulnerabilities.
  • Manage M365 and Azure environments, including Exchange, SharePoint, Teams, and SQL databases.
  • Collaborate with users and team members to troubleshoot and resolve issues within the operational environment.
  • Administer the virtual server landscape, including host system management, guest server creation, and hardware/software upgrades. Provide technical documentation for IT staff to assist in planning and implementing IT infrastructure enhancements.
  • Work with cross-functional teams to establish and maintain virtual infrastructure, including deployment of virtualization solutions, server virtualization, storage, networking, and virtual machines.
  • Handle Intune administration and mobile device management tasks.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Science, System Administration, or a related discipline. Equivalent combinations of education and experience will be considered.
  • 5-7 years of experience in a systems administration role, with a focus on operations software support, configuration, implementation, upgrades, and end-user support.
  • Strong understanding of virtualization technologies such as VMWare, AHV, Hyper-V, or similar platforms.
  • Proficient in Azure administration, including Exchange, Entra ID, SharePoint, Teams, licensing, and security management.
  • Experience with Intune administration, including policy management and application packaging.

Basic scripting skills are preferred.

  • In-depth knowledge of systems and networking software, hardware, and protocols.
  • Self-driven with the ability to prioritize and manage tasks effectively in a dynamic environment.
  • Strong customer service skills and the ability to communicate technical information clearly to non-technical users.
  • Ability to stay updated with industry trends and best practices.
  • Demonstrated analytical and conceptual thinking skills, with the ability to make informed decisions.
  • Establish and maintain productive working relationships with colleagues, management, and vendors.
  • Professional demeanor with both internal and external stakeholders.
  • A valid driver's license may be necessary; individuals in this role may undergo an annual Motor Vehicle Records check.

Working Conditions:

This position requires the ability to perform tasks that may involve lifting, maneuvering in confined spaces, and operating tools or controls. The employee will frequently use a computer keyboard and may need to travel to various work sites.

The role involves working in diverse environments, including exposure to varying weather conditions and the use of personal protective equipment. Employees may also be required to work overtime or weekends as needed.
