This position is based in our New York Office with a hybrid work arrangement.

Position Summary

We are in search of a skilled and seasoned marketing insights professional to join our Brand Partnerships team on a contractual basis. The Head of Audience Insights will play a pivotal role in advancing our research, measurement, and insights strategy. This position involves defining a strategic roadmap and implementing a framework to validate our audience and environment, as well as delivering campaign-level assessments to illustrate the effectiveness of client advertising investments in driving business growth. This role empowers Brand Partnerships and our clients to gain a deeper understanding of their target demographics, assess creative, campaign, and media strategies, and measure their impact.

The Head of Audience Insights will oversee the execution of sophisticated data and analytical strategies, as well as storytelling and data visualization efforts. This role requires close collaboration with Sales, Strategy, Creative, Media Operations, and Client Success teams.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the research and measurement strategy, identifying and establishing strategic partnerships while defining a comprehensive roadmap to enhance advertising effectiveness across Moonbug's offerings.
  • Prioritize resource allocation across the research and measurement initiatives.
  • Develop and execute research strategies to gather consumer insights and market intelligence.
  • Monitor and assess the effectiveness of marketing campaigns.
  • Utilize data for impactful storytelling, generating insights that drive product development and innovation.
  • Support and enhance the organization's first-party data strategy, advocating for the needs of the Brand Partnerships team.
  • Create insightful automated dashboards and data visualizations.
  • Maintain a historical database of media campaign data from clients and internal marketing efforts.
  • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to the broader Brand Partnerships team, enhancing skill sets.
  • Collaborate with the sales team to understand client needs and act as a consultant and trusted advisor to support their strategic objectives.
  • Establish marketing KPIs across Moonbug's core offerings.
  • Drive thought leadership within the industry, identifying opportunities for market reports and public relations.
  • Present insights and recommendations to senior leadership and clients.
  • Stay informed on industry trends, consumer behaviors, new measurement platforms, and competitor activities.

Qualifications

  • 10+ years of experience in digital media and marketplace research and measurement.
  • Experience in children's advertising with knowledge of the MFK space is preferred.
  • Global experience is advantageous.
  • Proven leadership skills with a track record of building high-performing data science teams and projects.
  • A deep understanding of digital media and a reputation as an industry innovator with a forward-thinking creative mindset.
  • Proficiency with platforms such as YouTube, Meta, TikTok, and Amazon.
  • Exceptional analytical skills with the ability to interpret data to inform strategic decisions.
  • Expertise in statistical analysis and predictive modeling.
  • Outstanding data visualization capabilities.
  • Strong presentation skills, capable of effectively communicating ideas and concepts to stakeholders at all levels.
  • Excellent communication skills, able to simplify and explain complex topics to diverse audiences.
  • Able to prioritize, multitask, and thrive under pressure in a dynamic environment.

Compensation

Monthly rate for a 6-month contract; $16,667 - $17,500 based on experience.
