Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Account Manager to join our team at Michelman. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing a territory to develop new business opportunities and drive growth.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage a territory to develop new business opportunities and drive growth
  • Collaborate with marketing to build a sales pipeline for future growth
  • Penetrate accounts to access decision-makers and assess opportunities
  • Develop and document strategies to ensure targeted growth rates
  • Travel regularly to key customers, suppliers, and trade shows to ensure customer needs are met
  • Partner with Regional Sales Director to plan and develop strategic direction of sales efforts
  • Provide customer volume forecasts and coordinate Agent & Distributor activities
Requirements
  • 5+ years' experience in specialty chemicals
  • Minimum of 3 years specialty chemical sales experience
  • Experience selling packaging films/constructions, coatings, resins, or polymers
  • Excellent project management, problem-solving, organizational, and prioritization skills
  • Able to perform financial calculations and create budgets
  • Ability to quickly learn Michelman products and specialized business software
