Position Summary

The Culinary Operations Project Coordinator plays a vital role within the culinary team and enhances the customer relationship experience at Cotton. The ideal candidate will possess experience in both back-of-house and front-of-house operations. Key Responsibilities

Primary Duties
  • Receives and assesses information from the Project Manager regarding contracted events.
  • May participate in site inspections.
  • Prepares load lists for events.
  • Trains kitchen personnel and temporary staff.
  • Ensures all ingredients are available and prepared for the menu.
  • Verifies all rentals, staffing, and third-party vendors 48 hours prior to the event.
  • Assists the Project Manager with rental processes (check-out, inventory, collection post-event, inventory, return).
  • Submits asset information to the Asset Manager for coordination.
  • Effectively communicates event details to upper management.
  • Reviews load sheets with team members.
  • Acts as the point of contact for clients with the Project Manager during events when Business Development is not present.
  • Submits necessary reports in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Oversees and directs event staff.
  • Coordinates pre-event meetings.
  • Reviews event timelines with staff and management.
  • Supports the Project Manager with staffing and task assignments.
  • Conducts a final walkthrough 30 minutes before the event commences.
  • Assists in managing the preparation, coordination, and timing of food and beverage services.
  • Communicates with staff regarding timelines.
  • Ensures cleanliness of guest areas, including kitchens, food stations, and tables.
  • Oversees the breakdown and cleanup process.
  • Conducts a final walkthrough of the completed event.
  • Checks out with and expresses gratitude to the client before departure.
Qualifications:

Education:
  • Bachelor's or Culinary degree preferred.
  • College Degree (preferred).
  • Valid Driver's License.
  • Culinary training and/or certifications are advantageous.
Experience:
  • 3 years of Chef experience or 5 years of substantial kitchen operational management experience.
Knowledge and Skills:
  • Understanding of Food Cost.
  • Knowledge of Labor Cost.
  • Menu development and planning expertise.
  • Strong cooperation and teamwork skills.
  • Awareness and follow-through capabilities.
  • Sense of urgency.
  • Experience with RV and mobile kitchen operations is a plus.
  • Willingness and ability to travel for extended periods, up to 60 days.
  • Flexibility in schedule to meet operational needs, which may include working outside regular hours.
