Business Development Director

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Business Development Director to join our Academic Partnerships team. As a key member of our sales team, you will be responsible for identifying and pursuing new business opportunities in the higher education and online program management sectors.
Key Responsibilities- Leverage sales databases to identify prospective customers and design automated digital marketing outreach to generate leads.
- Ensure the qualification of prospects and set initial introductory meetings.
- Manage outreach campaigns to corporate partner prospects via an omni-channel approach.
- Lead the full sales process for new marketplace business, including participating in sales calls, managing CRM, and negotiating deals.
- Identify and attend conferences and professional associations in the learning and development space to engage potential customers.
- Evaluate engagement of prospective customers throughout the sales cycle to validate the Ideal Customer Profile.
- Collaborate with our marketing team to design and deliver a rollout toolkit to share best practices in launching offerings at clients.
- A bachelor's degree is required.
- A minimum of 7 years of experience in sales or commercial roles, with a strong focus on business-to-business and go-to-market strategies.
- Industry experience in Higher Education and Online Program Management sectors is strongly preferred.
- Proven ability to demonstrate exceptional influencing skills, with a track record of working cross-functionally across multiple levels within an organization.
- A strong track record of consistently meeting or exceeding Management by Objectives (MBOs), sales targets, and other measurable success criteria.
- Proficiency in analytical tools and methodologies, showcasing a strong analytical skill set.
- Outstanding leadership, management, and communication abilities, with the ability to inspire and guide teams effectively.
