Drive Social Media is a leading advertising technology company seeking a highly skilled Director of Business Development to drive growth and success in our Dallas office. As a key member of our team, you will lead, develop, and scale a high-performing team of Business Developers, helping them close deals and generate significant revenue.

Responsibilities:

  • Negotiate and conduct closing meetings with small/medium-sized business owners.
  • Build, lead, and mentor 3-5 Business Developers to meet and exceed sales targets.
  • Foster a high-performance culture and provide ongoing training and development opportunities for the team.
  • Monitor and evaluate the performance of the sales team against established metrics and KPIs.
  • Review and analyze sales reps' pipelines and leads in Salesforce, providing feedback and guidance on opportunities and challenges.
  • Organize and run regular sales meetings to review progress, share best practices, and address challenges.
  • Prepare and present reports on sales forecasts, sales performance metrics, and market trends to senior management.
  • Develop and execute the business development strategy to drive growth and achieve company objectives.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 7 years of experience in sales, with at least 3 years in a leadership role.
  • Proven track record of successfully leading and developing high-performing sales teams, especially in a cold calling environment.
  • Strong understanding of digital marketing and the ability to articulate its value to clients.
  • Ability to negotiate sales contracts, terms, and conditions to close deals.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and execute effective sales strategies.
  • Experience with a self-sourced sales cycle and track record of over-achieving quota.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret sales data and market trends.
  • Ability to handle tough conversations and address concerns while maintaining empathy.
  • Exceptional relationship-building skills to motivate teams towards their goals.
