Position Overview: Washburn University is in search of an Academic Affairs Support Specialist to become a vital part of our administrative team. This role will report directly to the Provost/Vice President for Academic Affairs, providing crucial support to facilitate the efficient management of Academic Affairs.

Core Responsibilities:

  • Act as the main point of contact, managing phone calls and directing inquiries appropriately.
  • Organize meetings and events, which includes scheduling, creating agendas, and documenting notes.
  • Oversee the Provost's calendar and coordinate travel logistics.
  • Draft correspondence, reports, and presentations with a focus on precision and clarity.
  • Engage with various stakeholders to assist the operations of the Provost's office.

Qualifications:

  • A bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience.
  • A minimum of two years of experience in a dynamic office setting.
  • Exceptional writing and communication abilities.
  • Familiarity with office technology and software applications.
  • Capability to collaborate effectively while upholding a professional demeanor.

Desirable Attributes:

  • Background in higher education administration.
