Job Overview

Position Summary

The Outreach Intake Supervisor is responsible for guiding a dedicated team of Outreach Intake Specialists, ensuring that the department's intake goals are achieved effectively. This role focuses on providing local residents with access to essential programs and services. The supervisor will oversee the development of team members, set clear objectives, and implement standardized procedures to streamline the intake process.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and mentor a team of Outreach Intake Specialists, offering training and constructive feedback.
  • Establish performance benchmarks aligned with departmental objectives.
  • Create and enforce standardized intake protocols to enhance efficiency and consistency.
  • Formulate outreach strategies that integrate intake initiatives with organizational goals.
  • Address complex inquiries and manage escalated cases, ensuring appropriate resolutions.
  • Evaluate intake data to identify trends and areas for enhancement.
  • Conduct regular audits of intake applications to ensure compliance and accuracy.
  • Collaborate with various departments to ensure smooth transitions throughout the intake process.
  • Prepare analytical reports to support strategic decision-making regarding intake initiatives.
  • Encourage a culture of continuous improvement within the Outreach Intake team.
  • Manage team schedules to meet fluctuating intake demands.
  • Develop communication protocols for both onsite and remote intake operations.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, with proven organizational abilities in a team setting.
  • Capability to lead and inspire a team effectively.
  • Detail-oriented with a commitment to maintaining confidentiality and professionalism.
  • Integrity and dedication to customer service.
  • Experience in community support and a passion for the nonprofit sector.
  • Background in Energy Assistance Programs or related social services.
  • Bilingual abilities (Spanish preferred).
  • Understanding of the challenges faced by low-income populations or a willingness to learn.
  • Proven ability to connect with diverse groups and stakeholders.
  • Leadership skills that foster collaboration and drive team success.
  • Ability to adapt to changing priorities and work under pressure.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and familiar with design software.

Supervisory Role

This position oversees the Outreach Intake Specialists within the Energy Services Program.

Work Environment

The role primarily involves fieldwork, with occasional office duties. Employees must be prepared for varying noise levels and should possess a valid driver's license for travel within the designated region.

Physical Requirements

Employees may need to stand, walk, sit, and occasionally lift items up to 30 pounds. Reasonable accommodations will be made for individuals with disabilities.

Education and Experience

  • Associate's degree with 2 years of supervisory experience or 3+ years in a supervisory capacity.
  • 1+ years of experience in Outreach or Community Engagement.
  • Valid Driver's License required within the first month of employment.
