Job Summary

The Puerto Rican Cultural Center is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Program Coordinator to join our team. As a Program Coordinator, you will play a key role in implementing our community outreach and HIV prevention and education programs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement community outreach strategies to expand partnerships and enhance prevention and education messaging.
  • Provide leadership for all project activities, including day-to-day operations and program-specific worksites.
  • Assist in creating and monitoring internal reporting and evaluation methods to ensure program goals and objectives are met.
  • Report progress and requirements to funders and senior management, ensuring programmatic goals and objectives fidelity.
  • Establish program partnerships to disseminate services and promote our programs.
  • Conduct HIV risk reduction group interventions and windshield surveys.
  • Flexibility to cross-train in various areas, including HIV testing, outreach, case management, marketing, and social media.
  • Assist other Program Coordinators as needed.
  • Learn to use Canva Platform and other tools as required.
  • Attend organizational and program-specific meetings and activities.
Requirements
  • Experience working with the target population, including experience in program coordination and knowledge about HIV.
  • Knowledge of event management and experience working with the LGBTQ+ community.
  • Flexibility in hours worked and ability to work independently.
  • Bilingual - English/Spanish preferred.
  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
Working Conditions and Physical Requirements

OSHA Category 1 – Regular exposure to blood, body fluids, or tissues, and tasks that involve exposure to blood, body fluids, or tissues are not a condition of employment.
