Position Overview:
We are seeking a full-time Intake Specialist to become an integral part of our team. This role is essential in connecting individuals and families with the resources they need to succeed.

Key Responsibilities:
- Respond to incoming calls and assist walk-in clients.
- Help individuals articulate their needs and navigate the services available.
- Conduct a comprehensive screening process to facilitate connections to appropriate resources.
- Advocate for clients to ensure they receive necessary services and support.
- Manage crisis situations effectively, providing de-escalation and emergency resource connections.
- Assist clients with completing applications and required documentation for accessing services.
- Perform follow-up communications to ensure successful referrals.
- Maintain accurate documentation and data entry related to intake services.
- Engage in community outreach efforts, including attending service fairs and public speaking engagements to promote our services.
- Undertake additional responsibilities as assigned.

Qualifications:
- High School diploma with a minimum of 3 years of experience in human services; or an associate's degree in a relevant field with 1 year of experience; or a bachelor's degree in a relevant field is preferred.
- Completion of a 40-hour domestic violence training is required.
- Proficient computer skills and a willingness to learn various applications, including Microsoft Office.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
- Outstanding interpersonal skills and the capacity to multitask in a dynamic environment.
- Demonstrated patience, courtesy, and sound judgment under pressure.
- Ability to work effectively with diverse populations.

Physical Requirements:
While performing the essential functions of this role, the employee is expected to sit and stand for extended periods, communicate effectively, and occasionally lift or move objects weighing up to 50 pounds.
