Lead Software Architect

We are in search of a highly skilled, proactive, and experienced engineer to join the SnapLogic Augmented Data Management team. This pivotal role involves developing a comprehensive data management and governance platform that seamlessly integrates enterprise applications, databases, and various integrations. Our vision is to create a solution that effectively classifies, manages, and governs data across the modern data landscape, delivering precise and actionable insights.
As a Lead Software Architect, you will take pride in designing, developing, and maintaining modular, scalable, and high-performance code. Your background in creating data management solutions across diverse industry sectors will be invaluable. You will embody a strong sense of ownership, accountability, and pride in your work.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and develop a robust data management and governance platform.
- Create solutions across the technology stack while possessing a solid understanding of web frameworks, APIs, databases, and various back-end programming languages.
- Ensure that the architectural design and solutions adhere to SnapLogic's and customer security and regulatory standards.
- Architect applications to minimize the cost of change.
- Implement a Microservices-based architecture that is capable of both vertical and horizontal scaling.
- Engage in rapid project cycles, learning continuously about new technologies, protocols, and products.
- 8+ years of relevant experience.
- Demonstrated expertise in developing data management solutions or data catalog platforms, with a strong grasp of metadata management and data governance.
- Proficiency in both front-end and back-end technologies, including programming languages such as Java, Python, and JavaScript, along with frameworks like React.
- Experience with data catalog solutions such as OpenMetadata, Alation, Collibra, or similar tools.
- Understanding of data integration, ETL processes, and data connectors.
- Familiarity with various database systems and SQL.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a capacity to thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
- Experience with Generative AI, Machine Learning, and Prompt Engineering.
- Familiarity with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP) and cloud data warehouses (e.g., Snowflake, Redshift, Databricks).
- Exceptional communication and leadership capabilities.
