As a Principal Engineer within the GenAI Knowledge Assets division, you will be instrumental in shaping the technical strategy and vision of our team.

You will collaborate with diverse teams, including Cybersecurity, AI Services, and Business Development, to architect and implement an enterprise-grade solution for GenAI Knowledge Assets. This includes formulating a business strategy, orchestrating knowledge management, and spearheading data product development to enhance the value of Currency Cloud's GenAI applications. Your role will be pivotal in the leadership team, establishing a technical roadmap, introducing industry-standard technologies, and optimizing the knowledge management system.

Key Responsibilities:
1. Collaborate with project teams, data scientists, and development units to drive the technical roadmap and guide the creation of innovative, data-driven business solutions.
2. Establish technical standards and best practices, continuously enhancing the scalability of the AI Platform.
3. Mentor and coach junior engineers, fostering a robust talent pipeline.
4. Develop a structured architectural framework to address the components of our document management system, formulating relevant hypotheses and supporting project workflows.
5. Implement and evolve document governance protocols based on content sensitivity and access requirements.
6. Drive transformative change through innovative and practical solutions to the challenges encountered.
7. Partner with the Global Data Office to create technological solutions that automate key document management functions and enhance the capabilities of the Currency Cloud Library to support our GenAI tools.
8. Stay informed about the global AI solutions landscape to leverage internal knowledge and integrate best practices into the Currency Cloud ecosystem.

Additional Information:
This position offers a hybrid work model, allowing flexibility between remote and office environments. Employees in hybrid roles are expected to be present in the office 2-3 days a week, as determined by leadership based on business needs.

Qualifications:

  • 12+ years of relevant experience with a bachelor's degree, or 9 years with an advanced degree (e.g., Master's, MBA, JD, MD), or 6 years with a PhD, or 15+ years of relevant experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 15+ years of experience with a bachelor's degree, or 12 years with an advanced degree, or a PhD with 9+ years of experience.
  • Experience in implementing knowledge frameworks and solutions for GenAI applications.
  • Proficiency in programming languages such as Rust, Golang, Java, Python, or C/C++.
  • Expertise in web service standards and patterns (REST, gRPC).
  • Advanced knowledge of AI, Generative AI, and Data Science.
  • Authority in architecting solutions with Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery principles.
  • Expertise in distributed in-memory computing technologies like Redis.
  • A background in the payments sector is advantageous.

Work Hours:
Varies based on departmental needs.

Travel Requirements:
This position may require travel 5-10% of the time.

Mental/Physical Requirements:
This role will be performed in an office setting, requiring the ability to sit and stand at a desk, communicate effectively, and operate standard office equipment.
