As a Principal Engineer within the GenAI Knowledge Assets division, you will be pivotal in shaping the technical strategy and direction of our initiatives.

You will collaborate with diverse teams, including Cybersecurity, AI Services, and Business Development, to architect and implement a comprehensive solution for GenAI Knowledge Assets. This includes formulating a business strategy, orchestrating knowledge management, and spearheading data product development to enhance the value of Currency Cloud's GenAI applications. Your leadership will be crucial in establishing a technical roadmap, integrating industry-standard technologies, and enhancing the knowledge management system.

Key Responsibilities:
1. Collaborate with project teams, data scientists, and developers to steer the technical roadmap and facilitate the creation of innovative, data-driven business solutions.
2. Establish technical standards and best practices, continuously enhancing the scalability of the AI Platform.
3. Mentor junior team members and nurture the talent pipeline within the team.
4. Develop a structured architectural framework to address the components of our document management system, formulating relevant hypotheses to support project workflows.
5. Implement and evolve document governance strategies based on content sensitivity and access requirements.
6. Drive transformative change through innovative and practical solutions to existing challenges.
7. Partner with the Global Data Office to devise technological solutions that automate essential document management functions and enhance our capabilities to support GenAI tools.

Qualifications:

  • 12+ years of relevant experience with a bachelor's degree, or 9 years with an advanced degree, or 6 years with a PhD, or 15+ years of relevant experience.
  • 15+ years of experience with a bachelor's degree or 12 years with an advanced degree, or a PhD with 9+ years of experience.
  • Experience in implementing knowledge frameworks and solutions for GenAI applications.
  • Proficiency in programming languages such as Rust, Golang, Java, Python, or C/C++.
  • Expertise in web service standards and related patterns (REST, gRPC).
  • Advanced knowledge of AI, Generative AI, and Data Science.
  • Authority in architecting solutions with a focus on Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery.
  • Familiarity with distributed in-memory computing technologies like Redis.
  • A background in the payments industry is advantageous.

Work Environment:
This position operates in a hybrid model, allowing flexibility between remote and office work. Employees are expected to be present in the office 2-3 days a week based on departmental needs.

Additional Information:
This role may require occasional travel (5-10%). The position involves standard office tasks, including sitting and standing at a desk, communicating in person and via telephone, and operating office equipment.
