We are in search of a distinguished Senior Software Engineer to join our Platform team, bringing a robust coding and architectural foundation, a minimum of one year of professional experience with Rust, proficiency in Python, and significant experience in developing and maintaining core infrastructure frameworks.

Position Summary:

As a Senior Software Engineer within the Core Platform Engineering team, you will be pivotal in designing, developing, and sustaining the essential infrastructure that supports our groundbreaking Generative AI platform. Your coding and architectural expertise will be crucial in establishing a powerful and scalable foundation, while your skills in Python and Rust will allow you to enhance our technology stack. Your background in production support, Kubernetes, and Docker will be vital for ensuring the platform's stability and reliability.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Drive the design and development of foundational components and frameworks that act as the cornerstones for our Generative AI platform.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather their needs and requirements, crafting platform solutions that empower developers to create innovative applications.
  • Embrace a growth mindset, continuously learning and staying updated with design patterns, techniques, and technologies that attract developers to platforms and frameworks.
  • Work in close partnership with data scientists and machine learning engineers to seamlessly integrate Generative AI models into the platform, ensuring efficient execution within enterprises.
  • Provide production support and troubleshooting expertise to guarantee the platform's smooth operation and address any performance or scalability challenges.
  • Keep informed about industry trends and best practices related to platform engineering, incorporating them into our platform to maintain its leading-edge status.
  • Mentor and guide junior engineers, fostering a culture of continuous learning and technical excellence within the team.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Demonstrated track record as an outstanding coder and emerging architect with at least five years of experience in software engineering and platform development.
  • Proficiency in Python and Rust, with experience in designing and developing high-performance systems, particularly in Rust for performance-critical areas.
  • Prior experience leading the development of a framework or core piece of infrastructure/platform that has been widely adopted by teammates or customers.
  • Genuine enthusiasm for Generative AI (LLMs) and a clear understanding of the challenges and requirements for successful enterprise implementations.
  • Strong working knowledge of Kubernetes and/or Docker, with experience in deploying and managing applications in containerized environments.
  • Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS, Google Cloud, or Azure.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to architect scalable and reliable solutions.
  • Exceptional communication and collaboration skills to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in developing platforms for AI/ML applications or working with Generative AI models.
  • Knowledge of the Rust programming language and a willingness to deepen expertise in this area.
  • Familiarity with Generative AI model frameworks such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, or similar.
  • Understanding of DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines for platform deployment.
  • Contributions to open-source projects related to platform development or AI technologies.
