Position Summary:

The Consolidations & Controlling team plays a pivotal role within the Corporate Accounting division. This position is responsible for supporting the execution of monthly global financial accounting functions, alongside consolidation and reporting responsibilities.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Execute monthly, quarterly, and annual closing accounting functions, including journal entry preparation, account reconciliations, expense trend analysis, and documentation with necessary approvals. This includes assisting with month-end close processes and data requirements for Financial Reporting and Consolidation.
  • Conduct Flux analysis, prepare information packages, and manage tax package preparation along with monthly reconciliations.
  • Analyze and resolve discrepancies between intercompany accounts.
  • Maintain up-to-date process documentation.
  • Support controllership responsibilities to enhance Rocket's control environment.
  • Act as a corporate accounting partner to finance leaders by building relationships and gaining insights into financial processes, inter-departmental data, reporting needs, ongoing activities, and special projects. Communicate this knowledge effectively back to the Controller's Group.
  • Assist in the quarterly external audit and internal audit processes.
  • Continuously evaluate processes within your areas of responsibility to identify and implement improvements, enhancing the efficiency of the close process, accessibility of data, and integrity of the financial position.
  • Perform ad-hoc analyses and special projects as required.
Qualifications:
  • Qualified Associates (CA, ICWA) with 6-8 years of experience or Non-Qualified Associates (Graduate/Postgraduate) with a minimum of 6-10 years of extensive experience in Record to Report, demonstrating expertise in Technical Accounting such as Lease Accounting, Revenue Recognition, and Corporate Accounting in either Third-party or Captive environments.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, is essential, and familiarity with Oracle is required.
