Position Summary:

The Consolidations & Controlling team plays a vital role within the Corporate Accounting department. This position is responsible for assisting in the execution of monthly global financial accounting functions and related consolidation and reporting activities.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Execute monthly, quarterly, and annual closing accounting tasks, including journal entry preparation, account reconciliations, expense trend analysis, and documentation with necessary approvals. This includes supporting Financial Reporting and Consolidation during month-end close processes and data requirements.
  • Conduct monthly, quarterly, and annual Flux analysis, prepare information packages, tax packages, and perform monthly reconciliations.
  • Analyze and resolve intercompany discrepancies.
  • Maintain up-to-date process documentation.
  • Fulfill controllership duties to enhance and support Rocket's control environment.
  • Act as a collaborative corporate accounting partner to finance leaders by building relationships and understanding financial processes, inter-departmental data, reporting needs, ongoing activities, and special projects. Clearly and accurately communicate this knowledge back to the Controller's Group.
  • Assist with the quarterly external audit and internal audit processes.
  • Continuously evaluate ongoing processes within assigned responsibilities to identify and implement improvements that enhance the efficiency of the closing process, accessibility of data for the business, and the integrity of the company's financial position and its related business units.
  • Conduct ad-hoc analyses and requests, including special projects of a financial and economic nature, along with other assigned duties.
Qualifications:
  • Qualified Associates (CA, ICWA) with 6-8 years of experience or Non-Qualified Associates (Graduate/Postgraduate) with a minimum of 6-10 years of extensive experience in Record to Report, demonstrating expertise in Technical Accounting areas such as Lease Accounting, Revenue Recognition, and Corporate Accounting in either third-party or captive environments.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, is essential, and familiarity with Oracle is required.
Travel Requirements: No travel is necessary.
