Position Overview

As a Lead Software Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in the success of our Core Acquiring Front End engineering team within Fiserv's Global Business Solutions (Payment Acceptance) division.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Contribute to mission-critical platforms that underpin our payment acquisition operations, processing over 350 million transactions daily with peak rates exceeding 8,000 transactions per second, all while ensuring rapid response times.
  • In a dynamic online transaction processing environment, you will be a dedicated problem-solver, balancing platform stability and resilience with contemporary engineering practices.

Your Contributions Will Include:

  • Utilizing your expertise as a hands-on software engineer on an online transaction processing (OLTP) application built on .NET.
  • Delivering high-quality code to integration testing, certification, and production environments.
  • Overseeing the build and support of designated applications or platforms.
  • Owning technical stories, engaging in code reviews, and providing production support.
  • Designing efficient, effective, and reusable technical solutions.
  • Collaborating effectively with DevOps, Production Support, and peer platform teams.

Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of experience in C# and .NET development, including ASP.NET, .NET Core, and .NET Framework.
  • 3+ years of experience in building RESTful APIs and engaging with web services such as SOAP, JSON, WSDL, and XML.
  • 3+ years of experience with source code management tools like Git.
  • 3+ years of experience in Agile CI/CD environments utilizing GitHub, Jenkins, and Fortify.
  • 5+ years of experience in writing code from scratch, conducting testing, and working within a cloud architecture platform.
  • 2+ years of experience in OLTP, payments, or other high-volume transaction applications.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, or equivalent experience.
  • Experience with SQL Server.
  • Experience in payment processing.
  • Experience in developing solutions in public cloud environments (AWS, Azure, GCP).
  • Familiarity with Java technologies.
  • Experience in engineering OLTP applications.
