Job Overview:

Boeing is seeking a Junior Software Quality Assurance Engineer to join our dynamic team. This role involves supporting the development of software components and ensuring the integration of hardware and software through the execution of both automated and manual testing protocols. The successful candidate will be instrumental in verifying software functionality and performance while identifying and documenting any defects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement formal testing strategies and documentation, ensuring all necessary approvals are obtained.
  • Engage in test planning and estimation of user stories/features, committing to accurate time assessments during Sprint Planning.
  • Collaborate closely with the Product Owner to ensure acceptance tests align with the intended functionality.
  • Work alongside team members to ensure features are delivered with high quality and within deadlines.
  • Generate comprehensive test coverage reports and automate test case evaluations.
  • Compile and present test evaluation summaries and metrics for each release.
  • Conduct thorough testing of features developed during sprints to guarantee adherence to quality standards.
  • Plan and manage testing environments and prepare necessary test data.
  • Design, develop, and maintain automated testing scripts utilizing Test Complete/Test Execute.

Work Environment:

This position is hybrid, requiring a combination of onsite and remote work as determined by the hiring team.

Security Clearance:

The role necessitates the ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance, which requires U.S. Citizenship.

Qualifications:

  • A Bachelor’s degree or higher in a relevant field.
  • A minimum of 2 years of experience in software development and scripting.
  • Capability to secure a U.S. Secret Security Clearance.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience in developing test automation frameworks from the ground up.
  • Strong verbal communication skills and a keen analytical mindset with attention to detail.
