Key Responsibilities:

We are in search of a Senior Civil Engineer to provide Program Management Oversight for federal and state clients in the transportation sector. The successful candidate will have extensive experience managing multi-disciplinary projects and a deep understanding of public project management and delivery processes. Responsibilities include:

  • Engineering design for transportation initiatives.
  • Project scheduling, management, and control.
  • Budget oversight and implementation of performance measurement techniques.
  • Development and management of project cash flow.
  • Scope development and document management.
  • Knowledge of federal, state, and regional transportation funding processes.

Experience in providing program management oversight for public agencies is preferred. Familiarity with commuter railroads, Class I railroads, and California highway projects is a plus, though not mandatory.

Candidate Profile:

The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, organized, and adept at navigating technical aspects of transportation and environmental projects. Strong communication skills are essential, along with a collaborative spirit and a desire for professional growth. Typical projects will involve federal grant administration, state transportation programs, and planning initiatives.

General Duties:

  • Receive task instructions from project leaders.
  • Conduct research and prepare necessary documentation.
  • Analyze data and create visual materials.
  • Collaborate with team members to develop recommendations.
  • Document compliance reviews and site conditions.
  • Participate in meetings and maintain project organization.
  • Engage in professional development activities.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering.
  • California Professional Engineer license.
  • 10-20 years of relevant experience, including 5 years in project management.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Strong work ethic with the ability to manage multiple projects.
  • Proficiency in MS Office and database software.
