Your expertise in component-level reliability and functional testing will be essential in creating innovative test plans and refining automated standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Formulate and manage comprehensive testing strategies for electronic and safety systems throughout all design phases, focusing on components such as Battery Management Systems (BMS), cell-level sensing mechanisms, and system sensors.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop test cases and procedures that encompass a variety of operating conditions and use cases, actively participating in DFMEA and PFMEA meetings to highlight concerns and create validation plans.
  • Analyze test data to identify trends, anomalies, and opportunities for enhancement in electronic component performance and reliability.
  • Produce detailed test reports that summarize findings, conclusions, and recommendations for design improvements or corrective actions.
  • Champion continuous improvement initiatives aimed at optimizing testing processes, increasing efficiency, and enhancing the overall quality of our groundbreaking iron-air battery technology.

Qualifications

  • A Bachelor's degree or higher in Electrical Engineering.
  • A minimum of 4 years of industry experience in electronics testing, preferably within the energy storage sector or a related field.
  • Proficient in developing test protocols and validation plans, with a strong ability to identify root causes of issues encountered during testing.
  • Familiarity with UL or ISO standards for electronics testing and experience in developing internal standards.
  • Experience with data acquisition hardware such as Dewesoft, Keysight, or NI, along with proficiency in Python, SQL, MATLAB, or similar software for data analysis. Knowledge of standard communication protocols like CAN, RS232, or LXI is advantageous.
  • Skilled in programming and controlling test equipment using Python, ladder logic, Arduino IDE, or equivalent.
  • Demonstrated ability to translate data into actionable insights and effectively communicate findings to diverse audiences.
  • Strong collaborative skills across multidisciplinary teams, with a proactive approach to gathering stakeholder input for projects.
