Position Overview

As a Cloud Infrastructure Software Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in developing a state-of-the-art analytics platform that caters to our diverse clientele in the banking and retail sectors. We are committed to creating an advanced data ecosystem utilizing cloud technologies, Python, Snowflake, and machine learning to meet our clients' needs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with a team of data engineers, architects, scientists, analysts, and other technology professionals.
  • Oversee the deployment of cloud infrastructure using tools such as Terraform for AWS services, including EC2, EMR, and H2O clusters.
  • Develop automated solutions to ensure efficient and repeatable delivery of cloud resources for the Data Cloud team.
  • Engage with development teams to determine and implement necessary cloud resources for applications.
  • Work alongside corporate network and cybersecurity teams to establish acceptable infrastructure for applications.
  • Provide support for infrastructure managed by the DevOps team and assist other groups as needed.

Qualifications:

  • A degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in:
    • Operating Systems: Linux, Shell scripting.
    • DevOps Tools: Terraform, Ansible, Docker, Jenkins, and cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
    • Infrastructure Management: Kubernetes, understanding of scaling, high availability, and disaster recovery concepts.
    • Programming: Proficiency in Terraform, Python, Java, and SQL.
    • Networking and application administration.
    • Database Management: Experience with SQL Server, Oracle, Snowflake, MySQL.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience in the banking or retail merchant sectors.
  • Familiarity with data processing, data science, or data engineering.
