Lead Software Sales Executive

Position Summary:
The Senior Account Manager is tasked with overseeing all software sales initiatives for Ansys products, from initial lead generation to closing opportunities within a designated geographic area or specific accounts. This role is pivotal in driving sales profitability, enhancing revenue growth, and deepening account engagement in the assigned territory. Responsibilities encompass both acquiring new clients and nurturing existing customer relationships.
Work Environment: Full-Time position based at the Tempe Headquarters.
Location Requirements: Arizona residency is mandatory, with a preference for candidates located in the Phoenix metropolitan area.
Travel Requirements: Willingness to travel up to 50% of the time is essential.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct sales activities aimed at securing new and renewal business within the assigned region to meet or surpass revenue targets.
- Develop and maintain mutually beneficial relationships with both current and prospective clients to stimulate new software sales and ensure high levels of customer satisfaction.
- Implement a systematic schedule of outreach to customers and prospects through phone calls and in-person visits across the designated territory.
- Collaborate with internal technical teams to identify client challenges and key business objectives, crafting well-articulated ROI-driven proposals and quotes that align with customer goals.
- Research and compile lists of potential clients through various channels including sales leads, online searches, industry publications, and trade shows, utilizing tools like LinkedIn Navigator and ZoomInfo for effective prospecting.
- Stay informed about PADT's product offerings to proactively communicate enhancements and capabilities to clients, thereby generating new business opportunities.
- Coordinate diverse sales initiatives with Sales Management, Accounting, Engineering Services, and Marketing teams, including participation in trade shows and organizing training sessions to foster new business prospects.
- Regularly update sales data in the PADT SFDC system (and Ansys SFDC as necessary) to maintain accurate sales records, forecast revenues, and prepare territory and account sales reports as needed.
Qualifications:

- Bachelor's degree in an engineering discipline or a related field with technical sales experience.
- A minimum of 3 years of experience in software licensing and renewal sales, demonstrating a successful track record.
- Military experience is a valuable asset.
Essential Skills:
- Basic understanding of the industrial product development lifecycle, including CAD, Design Analysis, PLM, or Engineering Simulation sectors.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, along with strong organizational abilities and the capacity to work both independently and collaboratively.
- Proven ability to cultivate and expand customer relationships.
- Demonstrated success in driving company revenue growth.
Preferred Skills:
- Familiarity with Simulation (Ansys) products and software pricing strategies is advantageous.
- A history of successfully closing innovative business deals within industrial sectors such as Automotive, Aerospace & Defense, and High Tech is preferred.
- Five years of field sales experience is desirable.
