Position Summary

The AVP of Commercial Loan Servicing plays a crucial role in the strategic oversight and operational management of loan servicing functions, including escrow and payoff operations. This position encompasses various responsibilities, such as insurance management, tax and mortgage insurance coordination, payoff processing, and special loan handling. The AVP will also focus on mentoring team members to enhance their skills and drive performance improvements across the department.

Key Responsibilities
  • Formulate and implement strategic initiatives to promote departmental growth and efficiency.
  • Provide impactful leadership that fosters team development and cultivates effective management skills among staff.
  • Evaluate team performance to ensure adherence to established standards and achievement of objectives, including conducting performance reviews and managing personnel actions.
  • Analyze monthly operational metrics and trends, providing comprehensive reports on production statistics and forecasting.
  • Set and communicate performance expectations for the team, guiding them to meet and exceed established benchmarks.
  • Identify and implement process enhancements to improve departmental efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements and internal policies, maintaining accurate tracking of state and federal regulations.
  • Undertake additional responsibilities as needed.
Qualifications

Education
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or a related field preferred.
Experience
  • A minimum of ten (10) years in mortgage banking or loan servicing is required.
  • At least five (5) years of leadership experience in a related field.
  • Experience in escrow administration, real estate tax, or insurance roles is highly desirable.
Skills
  • Proficient in management practices, including training and motivating staff.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication abilities.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
  • Familiarity with call center operations is advantageous.
  • Proficient in problem-solving and decision-making.
  • Competent in using Microsoft Windows applications.
