Position Summary

The AVP Commercial Loan Servicing plays a crucial role in overseeing and strategically planning the operations of loan servicing, escrow, and payoff teams. This includes managing various functions such as insurance, tax and mortgage insurance, payoff quoting, and special loans. The individual in this position is responsible for mentoring and developing team members to optimize performance while leading initiatives for policy and procedural enhancements.

Key Responsibilities
  • Formulates, maintains, and implements strategic plans for the department to ensure ongoing growth and operational excellence.
  • Provides impactful leadership that fosters the development of team members into proficient leaders and specialists.
  • Evaluates staff performance to ensure compliance with established standards and achievement of objectives. Develops performance metrics, conducts assessments, and initiates necessary personnel actions.
  • Analyzes monthly operational data and reports; identifies trends, variances, and areas needing improvement. Delivers precise reporting results, including production metrics and forecasting.
  • Establishes and guides the team on daily and monthly performance indicators, motivating them to meet and exceed established targets.
  • Identifies, develops, and implements process improvements to enhance departmental efficiency.
  • Ensures adherence to regulatory requirements and company policies. Monitors compliance with state and federal regulations and assists with quality control reviews and audits.
  • Performs additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications

Education
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or a related field, or equivalent experience preferred.
Experience
  • At least ten (10) years of experience in mortgage, banking, or loan servicing.
  • A minimum of five (5) years in a leadership role.
  • Experience in escrow administration, real estate tax, or insurance-related positions is highly desirable.
Skills
  • Strong management capabilities in training, motivating, and supervising staff.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong interpersonal abilities.
  • Effective time management and organizational skills.
  • Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Proficient in call center operations is a plus.
  • Strong problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with managers and team members across various business functions.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Windows applications.
