Job Overview

Position Title: DISTRICT MANAGER
Reports To: Director of Operations

Role Summary: The District Manager plays a pivotal role in driving sales and profitability through effective financial oversight and leadership strategies. This position is dedicated to providing guidance, direction, and support to the Restaurant General Managers, ensuring optimal operational success and compliance with corporate standards, as well as federal, state, and local regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the annual formulation of sales forecasts, expense budgets, and capital investment plans. Ensure timely scheduling of capital and repair work within budget constraints. Focus on maximizing profitability by managing expenses according to established budgetary guidelines. Regularly review financial outcomes and complete necessary financial documentation accurately.
  • Ensure all locations adhere to the operational and quality benchmarks set by the corporation. Conduct regular visits to each restaurant to assess management effectiveness and identify areas for improvement.
  • Guarantee that at least one restaurant in the district serves as a Training Restaurant, collaborating with the Director of Training to ensure all Shift Responsible Personnel are certified in essential food safety and operational standards.
  • Respond promptly to priority calls, resolving customer complaints efficiently and monitoring call volumes to determine necessary actions.
  • Oversee management staffing, retention, and turnover rates. Anticipate staffing needs and conduct performance reviews for restaurant management teams, addressing labor efficiency challenges.
  • Regularly monitor Internal Audit Controls across all restaurants, ensuring timely reporting of incidents to Risk Management and compliance with safety and cash control policies.
  • Document performance consistently using the performance counseling process and conduct necessary investigations regarding cash control and workplace conduct. Facilitate monthly meetings with management to discuss planning, training, and operational reviews.
  • Implement marketing initiatives and maintain competitive awareness.

Supervisory Responsibilities: This role involves the overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of 5-7 restaurant units. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, training employees, assigning work, and addressing employee performance issues.

Candidate Profile: The ideal candidate should possess a strong commitment to positively impacting team members' lives, a pursuit of excellence, and a passion for the quick-service restaurant industry.

Qualifications: A preferred bachelor’s degree in a related field, with five to seven years of relevant experience or a combination of education and experience in the QSR sector.

Skills Required:

  • Communication: Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to listen and understand diverse perspectives.
  • Mathematical: Proficiency in performing Profit and Loss Analysis, Labor Analysis, and Inventory Control.
  • Reasoning: Strong problem-solving abilities to navigate complex issues in the QSR environment.
  • Leadership: Capability to build high-performance teams and coach managers in leadership development.
  • Technical: Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and adaptable to new technology systems.

Travel Requirements: This position necessitates travel to various locations, with a flexible schedule to accommodate travel demands, including nights and weekends as needed.
