Job Overview

Position Title: DISTRICT MANAGER
Reports To: Director of Operations

Role Summary: The District Manager plays a crucial role in driving sales and profitability through effective financial oversight and leadership. This position provides guidance, direction, and support to the Restaurant General Managers to ensure the successful operation of the business. Compliance with operational standards, company policies, and relevant laws is essential.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the annual development of sales forecasts, budget allocations, and capital investment plans. Ensure timely scheduling of capital and repair work within budget constraints. Optimize profitability by managing expenses according to established guidelines. Review financial outcomes regularly and take necessary corrective actions.
  • Conduct regular evaluations of each restaurant to ensure adherence to company operational and quality standards. Provide constructive feedback to management teams regarding strengths and areas for improvement.
  • Ensure that at least one restaurant in the district serves as a Training Restaurant, collaborating with the Director of Training to certify staff in essential training programs.
  • Respond promptly to priority issues and monitor call volumes to assess the need for disciplinary actions.
  • Oversee management staffing, including recruitment, retention, and turnover forecasting. Conduct performance reviews and address labor efficiency challenges.
  • Regularly monitor internal audit controls and ensure timely reporting of incidents to Risk Management. Maintain compliance with health and safety regulations.
  • Document performance evaluations consistently and conduct necessary investigations regarding cash control and workplace conduct. Facilitate monthly management meetings for planning and operational reviews.
  • Implement marketing initiatives and maintain competitive awareness.

Supervisory Responsibilities: This role involves the overall direction and evaluation of 5-7 units, including hiring, training, and managing employee performance.

Candidate Profile: The ideal candidate should possess a strong desire to positively impact team members, demonstrate a commitment to excellence, and have a passion for the quick-service restaurant industry.

Qualifications: A preferred bachelor’s degree in a related field, along with five to seven years of relevant experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Skills Required:

  • Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to listen and understand diverse perspectives.
  • Mathematical: Proficiency in performing financial analyses, including Profit and Loss statements and inventory control.
  • Reasoning: Ability to solve complex problems and make sound decisions.
  • Leadership: Capability to build high-performing teams and inspire trust and respect.
  • Technical: Proficient in Microsoft Office and adaptable to new technology.

Additional Requirements: A valid driver’s license and current insurance are mandatory. Flexibility to travel frequently and work evenings and weekends as needed.
