Project Management Office Coordinator

Reporting to the NPD Governance Manager, this position will support our New Product Development (NPD) Teams, Program Managers, and NPD Governance Manager to ensure that all initiatives progress from inception to execution with uniformity and success.
This role will concentrate on the intake of new project proposals and the training and facilitation of NPD process management and gate evaluations within the NPD and Small Project teams.
Additionally, this role will encompass the following responsibilities, including but not limited to:
- Intake and formulation of new project requests from the NPD teams during and throughout the Annual Operating Plan (AOP) planning and non-AOP planning sessions.
- Support and administration of the executive and small project gate review processes.
- Coordination of PMO processes in alignment with the best practices established by the NPD Governance Team.
- Ensure adherence to NPD processes throughout the project lifecycle.
- Training and mentoring of NPD team members for both large and small projects, along with the development and delivery of educational materials for ongoing training of NPD team members.
- Assist with special projects related to NPD and small project process enhancement and support the adoption and execution of these initiatives.
- Consolidate organizational-level project and departmental KPIs (Project Efficiency, On-Time Delivery).
- Drive portfolio governance and ensure compliance with established governance processes, guiding agreed-upon project management practices and systems.
- Assist in the implementation and management of new processes and directives as identified and documented by the NPD Governance Team.
- Inspire and influence immediate team members to achieve high performance levels to meet primary team objectives and contribute to overall team goals, including the NPD Teams and the Global PMO they support.
- Provide hands-on mentorship for new project management onboarding for small to medium-sized projects as needed, and occasionally engage in the direct management of projects throughout their entire lifecycle as requested.
Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Business Management, Project Management, or a related field.
2-5 years of project-related and/or business experience.
PMP (Project Management Professional) certification or the expectation to obtain it within 6 months of hire.
Proficiency in Microsoft Suite, including PowerPoint, Excel, and MS Project or a comparable project scheduling tool. Previous experience with Microsoft Teams is advantageous.
Expect 10-20% travel depending on individual project requirements. Travel may include international travel to global offices but often focuses on daily travel to manufacturing locations.
