Position Overview:

The Construction Quality Manager (CQM) plays a crucial role in the strategic planning and supervision of all facets of a designated project. This encompasses the comprehensive pre-planning for every phase of the project, extending from initial planning through to post-construction activities. Qualifications:

Essential Requirements:

  • CQM Certification
  • High school diploma or GED
  • 5-8 years of experience in the construction industry
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, along with strong leadership capabilities
  • Positive demeanor, robust work ethic, and a forward-thinking mindset
  • Proficient in computer applications
  • Proven track record in initiating and promoting continuous improvement
  • Current OSHA 30 certification

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee all pre-construction activities, including the development of crisis management plans, site logistics, and safety protocols.
  • Supervise field personnel, subcontractors, and suppliers involved in the project, including conducting daily briefings and coordinating job site logistics.
  • Implement and manage the project schedule, making adjustments as necessary while collaborating closely with the Project Management team to keep timelines updated.
  • Collaborate with the Project Management team on various tasks such as subcontractor selection, drafting RFIs (Requests for Information), and tracking the procurement of materials and equipment.
  • Work alongside the Quality Control team to ensure compliance with project-specific standards.
  • Maintain accurate on-site documentation, including drawings, logs, and inspection records.
  • Ensure adherence to the project budget, addressing any issues in collaboration with the Project Management team.
  • Assist in completing all project closeout activities, including punch list execution, commissioning, and final inspections.
  • Provide intentional leadership in the application of Lean methodologies, standard work practices, and Pull-Plan sessions.
  • Promote a safe working environment by leading safety meetings and ensuring compliance with OSHA regulations.
  • Establish and nurture strong relationships with clients, design teams, and subcontractors.
  • Support the implementation of Lean practices and a culture of continuous improvement.
  • Encourage collaboration and strong partnerships among team members.
