The Assistant Foreman will collaborate closely with the Foreman to guarantee the smooth execution of foundation repair projects while upholding the highest standards of safety, quality, and client satisfaction. This position demands strong leadership capabilities, technical knowledge, and exceptional communication skills.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist the Foreman in directing and overseeing the foundation repair team, ensuring compliance with safety regulations, company protocols, and project timelines.
  • Work alongside the Foreman to perform on-site evaluations, identify foundation problems, and devise effective repair solutions.
  • Engage in the application of various foundation repair methods and equipment handling, including hydraulic jacks, piers, and stabilizers.
  • Coordinate with clients, project managers, and team members to convey project specifications, address challenges, and ensure timely task completion.
  • Provide practical support to the crew as necessary, which may include manual labor, machinery operation, and technical assistance.
  • Facilitate the training and development of crew members on appropriate repair methods, safety practices, and equipment usage.
  • Assist in tracking project advancement, productivity, and workmanship quality, promptly addressing any discrepancies or concerns.
  • Maintain precise records of project documentation, including work orders, inspection reports, and inventory logs.
  • Help enforce company policies, procedures, and regulatory standards related to safety, quality, and environmental practices.
  • Collaborate with the Foreman to pinpoint opportunities for process enhancement and contribute to the overall success and growth of the team.

Qualifications

  • Prior experience in foundation repair or a related construction field is preferred.
  • Strong leadership abilities with the capacity to inspire and coordinate a team effectively.
  • Basic understanding of foundation repair techniques and equipment operation.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Able to perform well under pressure and adapt to shifting priorities.
  • Valid driver's license and dependable transportation.
  • High school diploma or equivalent; additional technical training or certifications are advantageous.
  • Physical capability to perform manual labor and work in varying weather conditions.
