Position Overview:
The primary responsibility of this role is to prepare meals in accordance with specified dietary requirements, community protocols, and established food safety and sanitation standards, under the guidance of the Food Service Director.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare food in compliance with resident dietary specifications.
- Adhere to all health, sanitation, and infection control policies.
- Maintain established standards of practice as outlined by community administration and Dietary Policies and Procedures.
- Perform additional tasks as assigned by community representatives.
Education & Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent is mandatory.
- A solid understanding of food safety and sanitation principles is essential.
- Must fulfill and stay updated with state-specific food handler training requirements.
- Proficiency in English communication is required, along with the ability to follow both verbal and written instructions.
- Demonstrated interpersonal skills and attention to detail are necessary.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with supervisors, colleagues, and community staff.
Experience:
- Previous experience in long-term care settings is preferred but not essential.
Work Schedule & Compensation:
- Full-Time and Part-Time positions are available.
- Wage: $17.00 per hour.
- Shifts may vary based on operational needs.
