The Foundation Repair Foreman will play a crucial role in ensuring the effective completion of foundation repair assignments from initiation to conclusion. This position requires strong leadership qualities, technical proficiency in foundation repair methodologies, and outstanding communication skills to effectively liaise with both the team and clients.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee and direct a team of foundation repair specialists, ensuring compliance with safety regulations, quality benchmarks, and project schedules.
  • Perform on-site evaluations to identify foundation problems, determine repair requirements, and formulate suitable repair strategies.
  • Employ various foundation repair methods and tools, including hydraulic jacks, helical piers, and stabilizers to rectify structural issues.
  • Collaborate with clients, project managers, and other stakeholders to clarify project specifications, timelines, and address any concerns or necessary adjustments.
  • Provide training and guidance to team members on effective repair methods, safety protocols, and equipment handling.
  • Track and report on project advancement, efficiency, and quality of work, promptly addressing any challenges that arise.
  • Ensure proper maintenance, organization, and efficient use of all tools, equipment, and materials.
  • Maintain detailed records of project documentation, including work orders, inspection reports, and inventory logs.
  • Adhere to company policies, procedures, and regulatory standards concerning safety, quality, and environmental practices.
  • Deliver regular updates and reports to management regarding project progress, budget compliance, and any significant developments.

Qualifications

  • A minimum of 2 years' experience in foundation repair or a related construction field, with a proven history of successful project oversight.
  • Strong leadership capabilities with the ability to inspire, mentor, and develop a team of technicians.
  • Thorough understanding of foundation repair techniques, including underpinning, slab jacking, pier installation, and soil stabilization methods.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and technical specifications.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail, focused on delivering high-quality outcomes.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills, capable of interacting professionally with clients, team members, and stakeholders.
  • Valid driver's license and a clean driving record.
  • Willingness to work flexible hours and travel to various job sites as required.
  • OSHA certification or a commitment to obtain it.
  • Physical capability to perform manual labor and work in diverse weather conditions.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Certification or training in foundation repair techniques or related fields.
  • Experience in operating heavy machinery and equipment.
  • Familiarity with local building codes, regulations, and industry best practices.
