POSITION SUMMARY:

The primary role of this position is to prepare meals according to established dietary specifications, community protocols, and food safety regulations, under the guidance of the Food Service Director. Additional responsibilities may be assigned by community representatives.

Adhere to all health, sanitation, and infection control policies while maintaining the standards set by the community's administration and Dietary Policies and Procedures.


Education & Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent is mandatory.
  • Must have a solid understanding of food safety and sanitation principles.
  • Must comply with state-specific food handler training requirements.
  • Effective communication skills in English, with the ability to follow both verbal and written instructions.
  • Demonstrated ability to execute both verbal and written directives.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and meticulous attention to detail.
  • Ability to collaborate with supervisors, colleagues, and community staff.
  • Capable of observing proper safety and sanitation practices.
  • Willingness to work scheduled hours based on job requirements.
  • Must not pose a direct threat to the health and safety of others in the workplace.

Experience: Previous experience in long-term care is preferred but not mandatory.

Shift and Wage:

Full-Time and Part-Time opportunities available.
Shifts may vary.
Wage: $17.00 per hour.
